mr + mrs grace

Michelle and I met because our daughters were born in the same hospital, very close to one another, and our addresses at the time meant our local council threw us into the same mums' group. Seven years ago!

While many more babies have joined the group and our lives have become far busier, leaving less and less time for regular catch ups, our mothers' group has not changed in size over those seven years. Families have come and gone, moving interstate/suburb/house, but we still come back together; we still remain the best part of a dozen. Which, apparently, is unheard of. How lucky we are.

Michelle + Rob have been together for the best part of two decades. Two beautiful kids and years and years of memories together. Michelle desperately wanted to share the same surname as her love, and her children. And so they were married. In the quirky opulence of the State Library of Victoria and later, celebrating at State of Grace for a small, intimate dinner with their guests, plus taxidermy giraffe.

Full stills will be shared in the new year on a fancy, sleek new website..!

Until then, here they are in motion.. keep your eyes peeled for Interested Toddler and Lady with Pram. Both excellent.

extra special christmas gift..

You know I just LOVE taking photos of people. They're so fascinating. So many different types of families, individuals, personalities.. just plain DIFFERENT. I just love it. And it just so happens I'm really good at it! Truly, I am. Happy to toot my own horn on that one.

If you're still looking for a lovely, personal gift for some special people in your life, maybe a little gift certificate to make them look at themselves in photos or film is what they need.. engagements, pregnancies, new babies, just married, epic wedding anniversary, new house, leaving an old house, still have pictures hanging on the wall from ten years ago.. or JUST BECAUSE. Any kind of family or occasion and I'll shoot it. Drop me an email and we can chat.

Long session or short, stills or just film.. whatever your needs, we can work something out. Shouldn't we all have one of these to remember our lives, frozen in time, right at this moment?

We are well overdue for some updated family snaps (like the plumber with the leaky tap..) and I am VERY happy to say that this dilemma will be rectified very soon - during the holidays - YIPPEE!

ten on ten / december 2014

I can't believe we're here.. at the end. The end of another series of Ten on Ten! In keeping with my usual twelve on ten.. I just had to finish with twelve. More is more. I can't help it! And while there is no photographic proof, we did leave the house today. It would seem the tenth of most months is traditionally a home day for us.. weird!

Thankyou Rebekah, so very much, for making me stop once a month and see what is in front of me. However wonderful, boring, or in between. Looking back over the year, seeing how much the kids have grown and the things that caught my eye enough to take a photo, I feel proud to have finished a full set when some months seemed too hard. This series is heading to the printer! Yay for books filled with my beautiful kids and loads of good memories. Thankyou friend - from the other side of the world!

Merry Christmas xx
